The roots of this family business began as early as the pioneer settlement of Southern Utah. One descendant of those 1861 pioneers was Lester Wittwer. In 1928, he started a trucking business with other family members, delivering homegrown fruits and vegetables to many outlying areas.
The desire to take care of his customers, lead to other business ventures. Lester's children worked alongside him learning what it takes to be successful as they tended to the needs of tired and weary travelers in the motel business which started in the 1940's.
The story of BlvdHome began in 1974, when Lester’s son Tony decided to venture off into the furniture world - with two full-time employees and a small showroom of only 8,000 square feet. Today, BlvdHome has 4 retail locations with over 160,000 sq. ft. of showroom space, located in St. George, Utah – Hurricane, Utah - Cedar City, Utah - Mesquite, Nevada.
With 4 store locations and a large Distribution Center, there are now over 230 amazing team members.
BlvdHome is named after its original location on Southern Utah's most famous street, St. George Boulevard. Moving to the current location in June 2000 raised the question "How can you continue to be 'The Boulevard' if you're not located on the Boulevard?" The answer was simple: "We take the street with us." At the heart of our store is the "Boulevard" – it represents the street that brought customers to the original BblvdHome, and now it leads them throughout the new stores.
BlvdHome looks forward to the future and continues its commitment to customer service that started over 90 years ago.

A History of Giving
One of BlvdHome’s core values is that of "Community Contribution." It's important to us to give back to the community that has supported and helped in our continued success. BlvdHome strives to be generous in many ways. Our guests know that there are special sales and rewards for shopping at the Boulevard. These include free gifts, drawings, and many extra services. But the kind of giving that matters the most to us is when it has a meaningful, long-term, lasting impact.
One of many such stories from Boulevard's past started with 14 VCRs.
Our first Labor Day Sale to benefit our local schools began in 1989. We were able to give part of the profits from that sale to the schools in the form of learning equipment. We donated 14 VCRs to schools in Washington, Iron, and Kane County School Districts. Over the past 30 years, BlvdHome has donated over $700,000 worth of electronics and other needed items to our schools. Giving to the schools in our community allows us to help build and strengthen the future of the youth in our area.
A History of Value
Q: What is better than getting the "lowest price?"
A: Getting the Best Value!
Sometimes we think we are getting the best deal when we find something at the lowest price. Not so. What about the quality of the product? Or the selection to shop from? Is there anyone to help educate you on the product benefits or features, or are you left on your own? Does the purchase include delivery, or have a warranty? Can you finance your purchase? Or does the business offer service after the sale?
At the Boulevard, we have built our business on providing the "BEST VALUE!" That means you may not always get the "lowest price" . . . but you will get the best values, including: trusted name brands; shop from the area's largest selection; get professional and friendly service, along with prompt and polite local delivery; service after the sale and many other services and benefits other companies don't offer.
