St. George, UT — Boulevard Home recently celebrated a significant milestone during its annual Anniversary Sale, marking 50 years in business. Boulevard Home first opened its doors on October 11, 1974. Fifty years later, the company commemorated this occasion with the opening of a time capsule sealed since the fall of 2000.

The event took place during a company meeting dedicated to honoring Boulevard Home's team members, both past and present. The time capsule, securely stored within a decorative wall at Boulevard Home’s St. George location, was unveiled to much excitement and anticipation.
CEO Marc Wittwer addressed the attendees, recognizing former employees who returned for the occasion, as well as current team members who were with the company when the time capsule was first created. Founder Tony Wittwer had the honor of opening the capsule, revealing its contents preserved for over two decades.
Team members took turns removing and sharing items from the capsule, offering a nostalgic glimpse into Boulevard Home's history. Among the contents were department photos of team members from 2000, promotional mailers from past events, branded shirts, hats, buttons, name tags, business cards, and even VHS tapes and CDs containing old TV and radio advertisements.
“We’ll have to dig out VHS and CD players to relive those old memories,” joked Marketing Director Tyler Wittwer. “I don’t even have a CD drive on my computer anymore!”
The time capsule opening was not only a celebration of Boulevard Home’s remarkable 50-year journey but also a heartfelt tribute to the people and memories that have shaped the company’s legacy and strengthened its role as a cherished community pillar.
Boulevard Home will continue celebrating its 50th Anniversary, inviting customers and community members to join in commemorating five decades of service, growth, and innovation. The time capsule contents will be on display for a short time for the public to view.
